(March 16, 2016, PASADENA, CA)  Hillsides is lucky to have a local poet, Ashaki M. Jackson, working with the high school seniors at Hillsides Education Center during a five-week poetry workshop.  The program is supported by Poets & Writers, Inc., the nation's largest nonprofit literary organization serving poets, fiction writers, and creative nonfiction writers.
 (March 15, 2016, PASADENA, CA) -- On Saturday, March 12,  the Trojan Affiliates dedicated their efforts to “Planting Seeds of Love and Nurturing Growth” with the children  who live at Hillsides Residential Treatment Services program. The event was done in conjunction with USC’s 5th International “Day of SCervice,” a worldwide effort on behalf of Trojan alumni to give back to their respective communities by implementing and participating in select service projects.
48 Youth Successfully Pass and Earn Employment Certifications (PASADENA, CA, March 8, 2016)  Hillsides Youth Moving On, a program for youth transitioning from foster care to adulthood, was selected to lead a workforce training workshop for 54 current and former foster youth from more than 10 Los Angeles County agencies. Forty-eight youth passed the five-week course in February, receiving two employment certifications and three college credit units.
  (February 29, 2016, PASADENA, CA) Hillsides raised $408,000 at its annual gala, Symphony of Dreams, held at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles on Saturday night, February 27, 2016. A crowd of more than 400 guests enjoyed an evening of top musical performances, a spirited live auction hosted by NBC4 Southern California Weathercaster Fritz Coleman, and an emotional testimonial by a Hillsides client, 2016 Rose Princess Donaly Marquez.


Family Resource Centers offer numerous community-based programs and services that provide parenting classes, mental health support, and additional crucial resources for vulnerable children and families throughout Los Angeles County, including the San Gabriel Valley and Pasadena. >
Residential Treatment Services provide a safe and stable environment where children and youths, who cannot live at home, suffered trauma, or have severe emotional or behavioral challenges, can thrive. >
Education Center, a therapeutic residential and day school, offers individualized education for students with social-emotional, learning and/or behavior challenges for children in kindergarten through 12th grade. >
Youth Moving On, with support from The Everychild Foundation, provides former foster youth affordable quality housing and numerous support services to help them become responsible, self-sufficient adults. >
