Hillsides Makes a Commitment to Serving East Los Angeles

East Los Angeles

We are excited to announce that we have expanded our presence in East Los Angeles with the relocation to spacious, modern new offices. Our Bienvenidos Family Resource Center, East Los Angeles, serves some 500 clients and houses more than 50 therapists, social workers, and other staff.

Bienvenidos, an affiliate of Hillsides, has been in the East Los Angeles community for more than 30 years, but moved offices to consolidate services and gain more treatment rooms. The new location offers mental health services, school-based services, a family preservation program to keep families together, and wraparound services that provide team-based support for children with mental health needs.

Project SAFE-LA, an HIV, Hepatitis C, and substance abuse prevention program for youth ages 13 – 24 who live in East Los Angeles, is also housed at the location. In the future, the office will enhance its services to transition-aged youth ages 16 – 25.

We recently held an Open House to introduce the new location to the community. Some 80 guests attended, including representatives from the office of Los Angeles County Supervisor Hilda Solis. We look forward to a continued collaboration with the East Los Angeles community.

We provide home-based family care (formerly known as foster care) to help children and youth heal from the effects of trauma. Included in the home-based care are treatment and adoption services for children and youth ranging from newborn to 21 years old. >
Our centers offer numerous community-based programs and services that provide parenting classes, mental health support, and additional crucial resources for vulnerable children and families throughout Los Angeles County, including the San Gabriel Valley and Pasadena. >
We offer comprehensive family support and individual mental health treatment for children and adolescents, ages 6 to 17. This program includes a Residential Treatment Center (RTC), a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), as well as coordinated family and aftercare programming. >
Youth Moving On, with support from The Everychild Foundation, provides former foster youth affordable quality housing and numerous support services to help them become responsible, self-sufficient adults. >
